the compost depot will serve everyone, single families, multi family communities, schools, restaurants, small and franchised businesses in Sonoma County. the compost depot will collect and process food + green waste into compost and share the magic of microbiology with all ages, making composters and soil health scientists out of everyone. the compost depot is committed to make the pertinent information about soil health and its implications for our futures accessible in our communities. 

A local intersection for art and science with integrated educational messaging about each step of the compost process is at the core of the compost depot. 

When a composter drops off food waste at the compost depot everyone will learn about the science of the compost process. Curated graphic imagery with creatively integrated learning opportunities will lead composters through the facility, demystifying microbiology while enriching the compost process being made accessible to all ages. Composters will be empowered with the data from their direct impact by diverting food waste from the landfill.
